The benefit of zero recoil is particularly useful in conjunction with the laser modification, which provides perfect accuracy when the laser pointer is turned on. Therefore, the stealth pistol will have zero recoil when it is first available to the player. The stealth pistol's low base recoil (0.10) is entirely negated by the pistol skill, which begins at the trained level.
MJ12 Commandos will require two headshots at master level. Common troopers can be taken down in a single headshot once master skill level has been attained. However, the stealth pistol's high rate of fire and low recoil allows for consecutive headshots with reasonable ease. Two headshots are needed to take down common troopers at the trained and advanced skill levels.
Compared to the regular 10mm pistol, the stealth pistol has lower base damage (8 base damage as compared to 14 for the regular pistol), but offers the advantages of an integral silencer, a lower base recoil, and a much higher rate of fire.
